Since i'm not planning to go back into advertising, it's kind of sad that i'm wasting all that knowledge i have. So, I'm starting up my own little blog shop... and it's gonna be awesome!

With all the inside knowledge of advertising and branding i have, it should be interesting on how i get to run this business from the ground up. :)

We are family

Here's some of my fave family pictures of us three so far. :)

Mahdi and Ayahanda.

And of course Mahdi and Me.

It's sad that we don't have that many pictures together... but we don't really have time to take pics that often. But we definitely have fun as a family.

I love my family so much. These two boys are my world. :)

The Delivery Story

I had been having these painful but apparently 'mild' contractions for the pass two days.. And as a result i hadn't had a good nights rest since.

I was a bit upset that my due date had passed with no sign of the baby.. So i had gone to sleep early (if u can call waking up every few mins in pain sleep.)

Anyway, i was almost asleep when i felt this searing pain in my abdomen.. Muuzi (who was in the living room) rushed into the bedroom, cuz apparently i had let out a scream of pain in my sleep..

Muuzi decided we should go to the hospital.. Again.

I wasn't too crazy about the idea of being told to go home after another round of poking and proding.. But i figured the hospital would prolly have painkillers that could b useful.

Sidetrack for a bit...
On our way to the hospital i told Muuzi to drive slowly, because i didn't want to rush there only to be told to go home.. So we took a slow drive to Selayang and were just about to turn into a flyover when suddenly, almost like slow motion.. There was this guy on a superbike that fell a few feet from us, his bike did cartwheels in flames in front of our car. While the driver skidded into the divider.. We were both so shocked and wanted to stop, but we had already entered the flyover.. And i was still having painful contractions. Luckily i saw a few cars that were behind us stopped to help the motorcyclist.. I keep thinking if we had been speeding that night, without a doubt, that cartwheeling superbike would have hit us for sure!

We arrived at the hospital about 2am, i was poked and proded as usual, but the suddenly the baby's heartbeat monitor started beeping and all the doctors and nurses started panicking around me... Nobody was telling me why it was beeping, which was annoying.

From the chatter, i realised that i was 4cm dilated and the baby was ready to come out, but the real panic was because they were discussing whether they should call Dr Roslan at 2am to deliver my baby.

Ps: Turns out, Dr Roslan was the head of the entire OBGYN department.. Meaning he was everyones boss.. And they seemed terrified at the thought of waking him up at 2am to tell him the news.

Finally they asked a senior dr (not Dr. Roslan) and decided to burst my water bag and wait for me to dilate somemore before calling Dr. Roslan at a more godly hour.

When my water bag was burst, it was uncomfortable... Hot liquid was streaming down. I started panicking... 'omg this is finally happening!'. The nurses told Muuzi to get my things, cuz we were finally going to the labor room. Muuzi had his calm face on, but i could tell he was freaking out.

We waited in the labor room for a few hours then at 4am a female Dr came in to check on me... Turns out i was still at 4cm so she gave me oxytocin to induce the labor and make dilate faster. I did not know that this meant harder, faster, stronger contractions... At one point the contraction was so painful that i literally wanted to scream out loud.. Muuzi kept me calm and told me to concentrate on my breathing (which helped a lot).

Anyway, that went on for another 4 hours when finally Dr Roslan came to check on me at 8am. I was so relieved to see him, unfortunately he didnt have good news.. I still had not dilated and was still at 4cm. He said i would need to have an emergency C Section immediately.

As soon as we agreed, i was prepped and rolled into the operating room. I was terrified and more so when i found out Muuzi couldnt be there with me.

I considered having a General Anaestetic.. So i wouldnt know what was going on but went with a spinal tap instead. I was shaking, from the fear, the still painful contractions and the fact that i was suddenly naked in a room full of people... Plus it was really cold.

As soon as the anaesteolgist did the tap i was numb from the waist down. The pain from the contractions completely stopped, it was so relaxing that i almost fell asleep. About 30 mins into the procedure i felt this jerking feeling on my abs then i heard Dr Roslan announce that the baby was out using Forceps.. A few seconds later i heard this faint cry of my baby.

Unashamed of it, i got all choked up and started crying as well (discreetly). I was relieved, but at the same time i was overwhelmed. OMG I have a son! I looked around but i couldn't see the baby, which made me want to cry even more. Suddenly the nurse came next to me and showed me this tiny pale little man. He looked at me thru his tiny sepet eyes and i said 'hi mahdi boy' :) (not an ideal story, but soon after that, i threw up... prolly due to fatigue and the fact that my stomach was stil opened on the table..)

I had some complications during the surgery, apparently my uterus did not contract normally so the placenta didn't come out naturally like it should. Dr Roslan had to take it out manually, and i lost a lot of blood... So after everything was done, i had to have 2 pints of blood transfused. Baby boy had a tiny scar on his forehead because of the forceps used.. but Dr. says it will go away by itself.

My labor was a long, painful and some parts were funny... but at the end of it, i got the most amazing little 'bundle of joy'.... But would i want to go thru all that again for another baby?

-Maybe.

Pregnant Muses..

I'm currently toying with the idea of getting some pictures taken of me being pregnant.

Would be an awesome idea if my face wasn't as swollen as it is now... but still could be a cool keepsake to look back on..

Obviously i don't expect myself to look like Giselle, Heidi or Miranda... but you get the gist of what i'm going for right?
This is the closest thing i have so far to a decent bump picture... but it would be nice to have one that wasn't taken by myself.. in a public toilet.

zOMG!!! I'm FAMOUS!!!!

I, Ayesha Adam was quoted, on THE STAR ONLINE.

So excited, Waaaaaaaahh!!!

Before i freak out summore lemme explain, Daryl Goh called me a few days ago and asked what i thought about F1 getting Korean SuperStar Rain to anchor the afterparty event... so i gave him my two cents.

Check out what i said...
“It’s a baffling decision to get Rain. Many think it is a weird combination – the majority of F1 fans aren’t K-pop listeners. Why should the SIC organisers limit the audience this year to only K-pop fans when it was steadily building an audience with international acts in the last two years? In fact, I would rather have some big local acts involved. At least, they represent Malaysian music,” said Ayesha Adam, editor of a local entertainment portal pizzzamagazine, who noted that Aussie punk legends The Living End were the main act at the season-opening F1 post-race party in Melbourne two weeks ago.
Ok, by reading that you know that Daryl edited my words a little, i would never say 'baffling', instead if i remember correctly i might have said, 'I can't believe they got Rain! it's so fucking idiotic''.

Ngeeeeeee... yes i thinks, i need to brush up on my interview answering skills. :D

Not that anyone i know, reads the star anyway.. but still, i got a giant KICK in the ego seeing my name there. I was away this weekend, so i just caught it on the archives... check out the full article HERE

2011 resolutions.

2010 was a tough year, financially, emotionally, psychically, socially.

Basically 2010 sucked.

Sure, we got married this year, but adapting as a newly married couple was tough at first.

But we learned A LOT from each other, he learned to be more thrifty with his money, and i learned that some arguments are not worth having (there's always a bigger picture).

This year i made a lot of new friends, but also lost a friend who is so dear to my heart. Getting married really shows you who your real friends are, now that you are not that cool-party-girl anymore. Some might bail on you, and find 'cooler' more happening friends, but the ones that are still there are the once you will keep for life. :)

Typical with my attitude towards blogging in 2010, i failed to write up new year resolutions, which is probably why 2010 was such a sucky year.

So this year, i'm not making the same mistakes!
I present to you my 2011 Resolutions!!

On the EVE of 2011 i pledge to..
  • to loose weight. Seriously, this is the MOST IMPORTANT THING i must accomplish on the LIST! I cannot STRESS on how freaking important this is!!

  • Become an Art Director.
  • Vector more!
  • To Travel MORE!!!!!
  • Be a better wife, daughter, sister, cucu, friend.
  • Work on pizzza magazine more!
  • Go out with friends more!!
  • Go to at least 1 tweetup, blogger, visionmsia (deviantart) event this year.
  • get my portfolio up and running.
  • not tweet/fb with anger or under the influence.
  • find ehsan a girlfriend. like seriously. or at least lepak with him more often.

25 things on my 25th birthday

I was inspired by Tekong's '25' post on his 25th birthday. On my 25th birthday, i decided to compile 25 things most extraordinary facts/ accomplishments/ failures/ things in MY life.

Here goes.... (in random order)

In the last 25 years, i....
  1. Been to 5 different schools.. 4 of those were SRK's. Yeah we moved a lot.
  2. Was a tomboy till the age of 11, i used to bully boys, and refuse to wear skirts, that ended when i discovered Nick Carter. ^_^
  3. was the school mascot of 2002...... i was a white cat, after which all my juniors refered to me as akak kucing.
  4. had a huge crush on the same guy for 5 years of high school... now he's gay.
  5. was a tunas puteri, puteri ISLAM, a interactor and a kadet bomba.
  6. still haven't learned to drive. Yet.
  7. once stole a vcd cetak rompak... i figured it was like Robin Hood. Stealing from people who steal from others. Unfortunately the movie was...

Yes.. i am very ashamed of myself.

  8. was 14 years old when i had my first friends-only-out-of-state roadtrip! Me and my bestfriends made it all the way to Port Dickson and back. Without a scratch... which looking back now, is FREAKIN amazing.
  9. have had a dozen pet cats. Some named Fluffy, Hang Jebat, Bazooka, Tiger, Apache, and Chino.
  10. still think a magical world exist... somewhere.
  11. didn't like my two best friends much when i first met them... goes to show don't judge people before you know them.
  12. once went to Malacca with my girlfriends and just spend the whole night driving around Jonker Street.
  13. am still using a worn down desktop that put me thru college.
  14. never submitted a single Bahasa Malaysia/ Agama homework assignment thruout my entire years high school. Hence why these two are my worst subjects.
  15. was so lazy in school, the teachers eventually gave up on me.
  16. spent so many broken hearted night crying over guys who don't mean anything to me now.
  17. Had two hamsters, Anjin-san and Anjin-san Jr. The latter was to replace the first one who died due to mistreatment. -__-!
  18. have learnt there is no such thing as FREE SIZE.
  19. Had the best birthday ever on my 23rd birthday.. i was ditched by my now loser boyfriend, and spent the entire night having revenge fun at loft zouk. Muuzi was only a friend then, but he gave the best birthday present of that year. :)
  20. was super reluctant to start dating Muuzi, because 'i didn't want to ruin the friendship'. It's pretty much ruined now, but i'm glad it is.
  21. do not like swimming with FISHES.
  22. have been abandoned, lied to, cheated on, loved, cherished, slapped, cheated on somemore, beaten, chased, stalked, and proposed to....
  23. am no longer terrified of DOGS.
  24. Have had a Gazillion Crushes, 6 Major Crushes, 4 almost boyfriends, 4 actual Boyfriends, and 1 fiancé ^_^
  25. have Lived.
Bring on the next 25!

So many things have been going on lately, i have no idea what to talk about anymore...

So here's the jist,

-I'm now working in advertising. (Hence the obvious lack of post, and the no social life)

-Muuzi and I went for our kursus kahwin in Zura's Akademik, in Bangsar, and were left traumatized and disturbed.

-My baby sister, Alia is coming home on 16/03/10 which is this TUESDAY! ^_^.

-I discovered that planning a wedding is super STRESSFUL.

-I've chosen GREEN & PINK for my theme, hopefully it's gonna be awesome.

Tis Cute kan?

-I was asked to be a contributor on a PIZZZA MAGAZINE. Which has been really fun so far. :)

-Found out my future husband has a very active imagination and pulls sour face when the request for an 11 men entourage, his own HORSE to ride to the wedding venue and SWORD instead of the traditional keris was denied.

The request that he get a LOW RIDER BIKE for Hantaran is still under negotiation.

GAH! What the hell am i marrying into!!? *haha JK!*

Im a dead person....

Been having serious headaches these past few days,

I think its an overload of stress, i can't seem to concentrate on stuff, and my eyesight is all blurry. I feel sick, then again, maybe it's because of the sugar deprivation (I haven't had a coke in AGES!).

Im finding it hard to breathe, Like there is not enough oxygen in the room, and to make things worst, i got really irritating hiccups (also caused by lack of oxygen in the body).

My room is a mess, i haven't done laundry in weeks, and i'm getting really pale (paler if possible) because of the lack of direct sunlight.

To make things even worst, im gaining weight from the constant tapau-ing (cuz i don't have friends to eat with anymore, i usually tapau and eat alone in my room). I'm gaining so much weight, that i can't seem to fit into any of my jeans anymore without choking to death. I don't have any any pants to wear to class tomorrow.

I feel like i'm reaching a dead end. Haih.

I think its funny .....

  • ...people complain about not having money to buy silly things.

  • ...i complain constantly about having too much work to do, when i don't really do it.

  • ... when guys freak out when i say I'm taking the bus (or any other public transportation) as if I'm too fragile, or would be kidnapped.

  • ... when i see straight guys wear tank tops in public.

  • ... when drunk people turn topsy turvy and annoy everyone.

  • ... when other contestants cry when people gets voted out of Akedemi Fantasia.

  • ... everytime i watch the hopeless girls on Paris Hiltons BFF. They make me sick, but its still funny.

  • ... when i accidently glue my fingers together while shoe repairing.

Falling Slowly...

I was chilling in my room the other day bored to tears, and decided to check out this movie called ONCE.

Kinda low/no budget movie, the acting is OK, jln cerita agak menarik... but the music, is so AMAZING.. :)

It's about this brokenhearted street singer (Glen Hansard), who meets this single mother (Marketa Irglova), who changes his life by making sweet sweet music together.

The music is so moving, some parts had me tearing up (Sobbing uncontrollably.) . Sedih. huhu.

Then as i was watching AMERICAN IDOL this week, the adorable Kris Allen sang one of the songs from ONCE called Falling Slowly, It was so beautiful and its my one of my fave songs from the movie..

Video has been removed

I think Randy was totally off, he sucks. It was a beautiful rendition. New favorite in town! :D

Owh, how amazing was my Adam? ^_^

DeVirgin-ised.

Sounds pervy, and wrong somewhat...

But it was a lazy Saturday afternoon, we didn't have anything to do so finally i just did it out of boredom. I don't regret it... but it's something i'll never be able to get back.

Maybe if i don't do it ever again it'll grow back, and It'll be like it was before. Haihh.. camne nih.

Now rasa menyesal. I hope Muuzi will still love me when he finds out about this.. OMG i hope Tok and Uncle mamat don't kill me.

It's not that bad right?? Maybe i'll survive this.

What do guys think?

Did i make a mistake in DYING my hair??

What did you think i was talking about?

Bet you've never seen an Elephant fly.

Well, now you have. hehehehehe.

Let me explain, i was desperately thinking of what to get/do for Muuzi's birthday. I was short on funding and could get him anything half as special as i wanted to.. then i spotted this site on someone's YM status. HOW FANTASTIC!!!

What an awesome way to celebrate a birthday!!

Go see international hot-air balloons race around Putrajaya!! plus it would be free!! I mean, it's probably once in a lifetime... but i always thought hot-air balloons were cool. :) Besides, floating balloons of hot-air in the sunset, by the lake... how romantic!

I imagined maybe something like this!

Or this!! (Ok, this is 3D, but you get the picture)

So i got Muuzi to come to Cyberjaya saying i want to take him to dinner for his birthday.. and told him about this cool tempat makan next to the lake in precinct 2 (where the festival was held). I planned my itinerary carefully, cuz i wanted us to arrive when the balloons were about to fly so it would be like kind of a nice surprise to see almost airborne balloons there, (the website said the event would be over by 7.30-ish pm) so we got there by 6 pm.

Typical 'Malaysian' organizing (Yeah! I said it!!).... nothing had started. In fact the 'stalls' were still in the process of building themselves. Loud techno music was blasting and that alone pretty much eliminated any romantic part of the plan. Plus it was hot, and there were lots of kids.... noisy-annoying-nak-mampus kids.

But we found a spot, bought some snacks and drinks, and just chilled while we waited for stuff to happen. The actual balloon flying was quite awesome actually, it kind of redeemed my plans a bit.

Being a total girl... i like the rainbow ones. AND the pink elephant is so cute!!

The one i hated the most and had no place being in such a fun environment was this one.

Seriously, Why so serious?? They couldn't have had a smiling clown??

Neway, after almost all the balloons were up we left to Alamanda for 'actual dinner' and we had birthday cake at Secret Recipe. I got candles from the waiter but was too shy to sing out loud. :P

Happy Birthday Encik.

All in all it was a fun day, although it didn't really go the way i imagined it in my head. Muuzi swears he had fun and was really enjoying himself. Yay.

Next year will be even better, i promise. :)
