I spent the day in OU with Mashi yesterday, we were walking and talking about silly girly stuff when suddenly she GASPED in horror as she reached out and pointed out a single grey hair on my head.
I should have smacked her. (jk mashi, lol)
My FIRST UBAN!!! Holy crap, it's a total wake up call!
I am 27 years OLD!
is it normal for people to have grey hairs at 27? I'm so paranoid now. Haih.
Stepping out of youth and plunging into being a fulltime wife and mother.

Shit just got real.
Reading about heartless people dumping babies really breaks my heart.
How could anyone do that to something so beautiful.
Even so after carrying the baby a full 9 months and delivering it, how could they do that after feeling the baby's heart beating and move inside them? I cannot fathom it....
And it's not just the unforgivable act...but the surprising large amount of cases that happen in this country...

And it's not just the unforgivable act...but the surprising large amount of cases that happen in this country...
Taken from the STAR:
PETALING JAYA: There has been a spike in the number of baby-dumping incidences since 2010.After dropping from 102 cases in 2008 to 79 in 2009, the figure increased to 91 and 98 in 2010 and 2011 respectively. So far this year, 31 cases were reported, Women, Family and Community Development Ministry deputy secretary-general Harjeet Singh said. He said the increasing numbers could be due to more reports being made and society becoming aware of the scourge. He said feedback from counselling sessions and case studies at several shelter homes for those aged under 18 listed peer pressure and lack of knowledge about reproductive health as the two most important factors that led to unwanted pregnancies.Delivering the message: Students looking at posters of the ‘Say No to Baby Dumping’ seminar in Sunway.
“The desire to fit in influenced many teenagers into adopting the lifestyle of their peers,” he said after launching a “Say No to Baby Dumping” seminar here.Harjeet said teenagers mixed freely with little parental supervision these days.“Sometimes, the in-thing among them is to go to parties or have intimate relationships with their partners,” he said, adding that many of the young were not educated on how to avoid getting into such situations.Syarhah Mohamed Tahir, a project administrator at OrphanCARE, said some underage teens were coaxed into having intimate relationships while others believed that their partners were truly in love with them.OrphanCARE is an NGO that was started in 2008 to help expedite the adoption process for abandoned babies and children in orphanages. Consultant clinical psychologist Dr Alvin Ng Lai Oon said it was more important for teenagers to be taught skills to deal with unwanted pregnancies.“If it happens, they should be taught how to manage it. An unwanted pregnancy is not the end of the world,” he said.
A few issues i have with this, firstly, preaching about abstinence and teaching children about safe sex is all good and dandy, but somehow i feel that it's a little unrealistic. What we need is emphasis that the crime isn't getting pregnant, but the killing of the innocent baby.
Other than that, i feel (i'm going to get into a lot of trouble for this.. but screw it), I FEEL, that government hospitals/clinics should allow for abortions. I know, it's terrible of me to think that. But, as long as the fetus, is not yet a baby, and after evaluating all other options (adoption and such), deeming that the mother, is unfit and not ready to have a child, she should be allowed to have an abortion. IF, she is over 18, regardless of her religion, she should be able to do so, without parental consent.
The problem in this country is FEAR.
FEAR, that people are going to find out.
FEAR, that my parents will scold me.
FEAR, that no one will want to marry me now.
Everyone is so afraid, but unfortunately no one is afraid enough of god. Because if they were, they wouldn't have had premarital sex in the first place, they are more afraid of 'what people think' that they don't want to deliver the baby in a hospital where people would judge them, but rather deliver alone in a dumpster.
Takut, of all the things that don't matter.
These CHILDREN matter.
They are unwanted by their parents, but they could have been
adopted by a family who would have loved them.
adopted by a family who would have loved them.
These women should be caught and charged with murder, and put in jail forever.. I don't care how young/naive they are. They obviously have no respect for life.
Nuff said.

Pray for Alda
This is so sad,
While Muuzi was in the hospital (Damansara Specialist), we found out that another of our friends, Alda was also admitted in DSH.
Apparently Alda collapsed, and is currently still unconscious.. he is only 29 years old.
This event has me reevaluating my life.
I've been bugging Muuzi to do something about his weight, cuz it's because of his size, that he's prone to all sorts of health issues... but then we get news bout someone like Alda, who seems completely fit and healthy, but suddenly his brain bleeds and ends up in a coma.
I will never complain again. I'm glad that Muuzi has something that is treatable, and i will do my best to make sure he gets better..
My prayers go to Alda and his family, and hopefully he'll recover soon.
If u'd like to find out more about Alda and his condition join this FB group.

The unfortunate circle of life...
Today... me, alia, ezani and mama went to visit my grand aunt, tok Hawa (my tok Adam's sister) at University Hospital.
She was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, and sadly the cancer has reached her vital organs and brain...
I went to UH expecting the worst, but i was surprised she was still talkative and would laugh at our jokes despite half her body being paralyzed... Tok Hawa even made a joke about the doctor asking her whether she smoked cigarettes or drank alcohol, for her to end up with this stage of cancer... somehow she found this hilarious, because she is so pious, and has never done any of those things... Heck, she even puasa enam and rejab every single year without fail, since i can remember.
In ways, she reminds me so much of Tok Adam's personality, and find myself missing him whenever Tok Hawa is around. I remember when i was 12 years old, we stayed with her in Johor Bahru for a few months.. at the time i was about to take my UPSR exams, and there was this 14 year old boy, Muzaffar, that lived next door who used to come over to Tok Hawa's house to deliver me love letters. It was so hilarious how she would encourage me to talk to him, since i was super shy, but then my Tok Adam would chase him away... :P
I know she's old and stuff, but part of me wishes that she doesn't have to go... but realistically i know she doesn't have long before it's her time to go meet Allah swt and maybe keep Tok Adam company til the rest of us catch up.
I also wish that she could at least meet Mahdi, before she leaves us... and maybe she can tell Tok Adam how adorable his new cicit is. :(
Ok i'm gonna stop here, cuz honestly i'm bawling my eyes out in front of this laptop...

No Muslims at Malaysia Black Eyed Peas concert

KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) - Muslims in Malaysia have been barred from attending a concert by U.S. hip hop band the Black Eyed Peas sponsored by Guinness which is owned by the world's biggest spirits group Diageo.
The move comes after a Malaysian Islamic court sentenced a 32-year Muslim woman to be caned after she was caught drinking beer in a hotel and at a time when an opposition Islamic party has moved against beer sales.
The concert, part of celebrations of Guinness 250th birthday, asks on its website (www.arthursday.com.my) "Are you a non-Muslim aged 18 years and above?" and if the response is no, access is not allowed.
Muslims account for 55 percent of the 27 million people in this Southeast Asian country and are barred from consuming alcohol although the rules are regularly flouted, especially in big cities like the capital, Kuala Lumpur.
Malaysia's Guinness Anchor which sells Guinness and other brands here had sales of 1.2 billion Malaysian ringgit ($340.6 million) in 2008.
Even without alcohol, foreign bands are subject to scrutiny. Earlier this week, the Pan Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) said it wanted Danish band Michael Learns to Rock banned from performing as it would cause immorality.
Since 2007, PAS, the country's second largest political group measured by party membership, has campaigned against performances by the likes of Beyonce, Rihanna, Gwen Stefani and Avril Lavigne.

The hopelessy uncoordinated vs. RM200 shoes
Which girl hasn't walked into a fancy shoe store and dreamed of wearing those killer heels to a fancy ultra glamorous event...
Where all the other girls watch in jealousy and wonder 'how do you walk in those shoes' and for a minute you amaze them.
Last week, i finally purchased my dream shoes, which I've had my eyes on forever from ZARA. I had planned to wear them to accompany Muuzi to the SHOUTAWARDS that Friday.
They looked awesome, and were super comfortable.... until i actually tried to walk in them.
Safe to say i wobbled more like jelly, and wound up plunging face first into a curb of dirt.
I'm currently not allowed to buy any shoes.. except flats.
On other stories, SHOUTAWARDS was interesting to the least. Muuzi and gang looked super cool being monotoned... and i enjoyed most of the performances.
I loved BUNKFACE's performance!! Those kids(the mini bunkface kids, not the actual ones) are just too darn CUTE!! Despite everything thats going wrong with their attitudes and the conflicts with the managers, they still can put out a great show.
Anyway kudo's to the winners.. too bad OBS wasn't nominated. Maybe next year. :)
Owh, i finally watched HARRY POTTER and the half blood prince on saturday with Mama,Muuzi,Jajito and a few other people. Like expected it was so totally awesome, beyond muggle words to describe.
My life is almost complete.

The man in the mirror....
We will miss the man that taught the world how to moonwalk, to wear fancy bedazzled socks, high pitch Heee-heee, and how to make crotch grabbing can look cool not pervy! And also how to say your ABC's, 123's, as well as DoReMi's..
We will remember that he told us, if you want your life to change, first you have to change yourself, told us it doesn't matter if your black or white, you can still be his baby.. He told us to heal the world and make it a better place, for you and for me, and the entire human race.
Haih, What sad sad news, but looking at the silver lining, at least now people will stop talking shit about him.

Have you seen my Childhood?
I'm searching for the world that I
Come from
'Cause I've been looking around
In the lost and found of my heart...
No one understands me
They view it as such strange eccentricities...
'Cause I keep kidding around
Like a child, but pardon me...
People say I'm not okay
'Cause I love such elementary things...
It's been my fate to compensate, for the childhood
I've never known...
Have you seen my Childhood?
I'm searching for that wonder in my youth
Like pirates and adventurous dreams,
Of conquest and kings on the throne...
Before you judge me, try hard to love me,
Look within your heart then ask,
Have you seen my Childhood?
People say I'm strange that way
'Cause I love such elementary things,
It's been my fate to compensate,
for the Childhood I've never known...
Have you seen my Childhood?
I'm searching for that wonder in my youth
Like fantastical stories to share
The dreams I would dare, watch me fly...
Before you judge me, try hard to love me.
The painful youth I've had
Have you seen my Childhood?
