Pirate Party Planning!

I know it's early, but i've decided to start planning Mahdi's birthday party!

Reason being, his birthday is on the 31st of December, which is a Monday, so i'd have to have the party on the 1st of jan, on tuesday.. which means most of my friends are going to be out partying the night before, and tired/hungover on that day. So i'd have to give them ADVANCED warning, so they can plan their day appropriately.

Or maybe i could have the party on the 30th, which would be Sunday.. hmm that actually would be better.

As i said, i'm only starting to plan it. So i haven't worked out the details yet. But the one thing is for certain is that we are having a pirate theme pool party, which is TOO CUTE!!

Isn't it cute? looks simple enuff.

I gotta say, i'm going to try making it more cutesty pirate, and not so skulls and bonesy. Also I'm thinking of making bandana's and eye patches for the kids, and maybe tiny little vest? (too much? we'll see)

One thing i know without a doubt is that i am going to make Mahdi a Smash Cake! That epic moment of messiness of Mahdi becoming a big boy, no doubt. I'm having a smash cake! :D

All Systems Go!

I LOVE, love, love going to Dr Kamaljit (my baby doctor in bangsar)...

She always eases my fears, and makes me feel like i'm doing a great job incubating my lil baby.

This time around was an especially exciting visit, since we saw the baby had reached the proper position for delivery.. so we can be assured, he's coming any day now!!!

That being said, after being super annoying and obsessing about the baby shower, the 'organizers' have finally decided to let me in on the whole planning phase. I'm so psyched!!!

I've been on overdrive all day... being creative and making the invites, place cards and such...

My biggest and only problem is the darn guestlist, because most of the things we plan to do is much better suited to a smaller crowd of people. Unfortunately, with me and mundzir each having tons of friends and relatives, it'll prove quite a challenge to scale down our guestlist down to 30 people.

And to think we thought we were past this problem when we were doing our wedding guestlist, which from 200 people, became close to 400 guest. huhu..

Sigh, what to do... my future baby is so popular. :P

Rockin Rockaway weekend...

This weekend was frickin Awesome!!!

Me and Muuzi spent the weekend at Palace of the golden horses, where they hosted the rockaway press conference and all the international acts. The hotel was heavenly, the detailing around the hotel was so intricate and beautiful.. I was totally geeking out about all the little horse statues and carvings..

Love. Love. Love. 

Anyway the reason we were there was so Muuzi could work on Rockaway..

Rockaway itself, was super hectic.. Luckily i managed to get into the press conference to meet The Used in person.. And i got to see them play an acoustic set. Honestly, They are seriously the nicest bunch of guys, and lead singer Bert is one super hilarious dude.

On Rockaway day, Muuzi had to get up super early to collect One Buck Short's new album.. So i just hung out around the hotel and went swimming..

Alia, Ezani and mama came by and hung out at the hotel with me and had some room service before the concert.. Since Rockaway is a 12 hour festival and i'm insanely pregnant, we didn't do an all day fiesta which i'm used to.. We got to the venue at 8 just in time to see All time low's last two songs..

It was really fun to be out with friends again. It was especially fun to see my Muuzi shine like the rockstar he is.... I kept beaming thinking of how much i am so proud of my baby daddy. :)

All in all.. the night was a blast, not to mention a giant success for OBS and the organizers.. All the acts did an amazing job performing, I especially enjoyed The Used' super stellar performance... i enjoyed every second. Even the wet rainy bits. :)

Great company, Great music + Baby Daddy rocking out like a rockstar = One awesome night.

Hey YO it's NEYO!

I have the BEST FRIENDS in the world entire world. nuffsaid.

Met up with Mashi and Jaja for lunch in Sg. Wang at 3pm on a lazy thursday evening, when suddenly Mashi hands us two RM140 tickets to see NEYO that night.

I freak out.

Jaja stares in shock. Then we both squel in JOY!!

Mashi is the most WONDERFUL FRIEND IN THE WORLD!! :D Muuzi was super jealous. :) i could tell. :P

Regardless to say, that the show was epic. and neyo was AMAZING!!!

I really hope he comes back someday. Then Muuzi can go to. :)

No Muslims at Malaysia Black Eyed Peas concert

KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) - Muslims in Malaysia have been barred from attending a concert by U.S. hip hop band the Black Eyed Peas sponsored by Guinness which is owned by the world's biggest spirits group Diageo.

The move comes after a Malaysian Islamic court sentenced a 32-year Muslim woman to be caned after she was caught drinking beer in a hotel and at a time when an opposition Islamic party has moved against beer sales.

The concert, part of celebrations of Guinness 250th birthday, asks on its website (www.arthursday.com.my) "Are you a non-Muslim aged 18 years and above?" and if the response is no, access is not allowed.

Muslims account for 55 percent of the 27 million people in this Southeast Asian country and are barred from consuming alcohol although the rules are regularly flouted, especially in big cities like the capital, Kuala Lumpur.

Malaysia's Guinness Anchor which sells Guinness and other brands here had sales of 1.2 billion Malaysian ringgit ($340.6 million) in 2008.

Even without alcohol, foreign bands are subject to scrutiny. Earlier this week, the Pan Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) said it wanted Danish band Michael Learns to Rock banned from performing as it would cause immorality.

Since 2007, PAS, the country's second largest political group measured by party membership, has campaigned against performances by the likes of Beyonce, Rihanna, Gwen Stefani and Avril Lavigne.

Urban Escapades.

Urbanscapes was an awesome experience!! Awesome artworks, awesome performances and got some super cool stuff! I bought an awesome Marilyn Monroe Tshirt which i love! and a Lady Gaga tank top. ^_^ also a comel gila headband with rainbow colored feathers on it. Weee!

Plus it was just great chillin' with all my friends tepi tasik not in a club. :D My only real regret is that i didn't bring my camera (kicks self repeatedly) cuz i thought that jojo would bring one, and she thought i would and didn't bring one either. Haih, great minds think alike eh? :P

I suppose by now, everyone is well aware of the H1N1 scare that hit Urbanscapes.. I hope Munkey and Eday get well soon.

Me, Mashi took Jojo to GH to get a H1N1 screening cuz she wasn't feeling well.. fortunately Doctor diagnosed her flu due to too much partying (not H1N1 related) but to stay away from public just incase.
