Penang Weekend!!

I've been so excited to finally get away from KL, and go to Penang for the weekend to balik kampung and attend my bestfriends wedding, so Wandabomb and Mashi came too.

Plus, it's Mahdi's first trip out of town.... and it was a great experience. He slept most of the way, so it was a comfortable journey, although it could be because we had to switch cars with Izhan cuz we couldn't fit all of mahdi's things in the trunk of our myvi.. Hehe

On Saturday, we went to Jaja's wedding.

The weekend was so much fun, we had a blast.

It's MAY!

A lot of things to look forward to in May..

Firstly, Mahdi is officially 4 months old today!

Secondly, hopefully will celebrate my FIRST ever 'Mothers day'. :)

Thirdly, going to my best friend Jaja's wedding in Penang!

Forth, since today is holiday, im going to go see The Avengers with the boys! Hurrah!

And lastly, something i'm not excited about, is that i'm turning 27 at the end of this month. yikes. :(

KPJ Antenatal Class

Yesterday (Saturday), me and Muuzi experienced a day of learning in KPJ Selangor Antenatal class...

The class is held for first time parents like us to learn everything we'd need to know about the birth process, breastfeeding, baby grooming, and just answering any question we might have..

It's only about RM80 percouple, and i found the lectures very resourceful, but unfortunately was distracted by Muuzi falling asleep every 5 mins. With the RM80 you pay, you get breakfast, lunch and tea breaks... as well as a goodie bag with a bunch of useful pamphlets, printed notes and a free box of baby soap (sponsored by Johnsons)

The nurse giving the seminar was a 65 year old lady with a teaching degree and a masters... so she thought she was pretty big stuff.. she kept sharing intimate details about her life with us, eventho no one really wanted to know. But she was definitely resourceful, that is for sure..

The best part was when she started showing us videos for breastfeeding, and a gruesome video of a woman giving birth and having a episiotomy (OMGaaaah, the horrror!)... thru it all, i honestly still haven't decided on a birthing plan.. they all look equally horrifying.  

After the 8am - 6.30pm class, me and Muuzi had to rush off to Saujana Resort for his Ex-bandmate Hafiz's wedding ceremony... newly weds Izal and Leng were there  as well, since the rest of the boys of One Buck Short were in Kuching.

I seriously can't get over how big i've gotten recently... like how am i even upright is a miracle.

A few more weeks to the due date... and we still have so much to figure out.

I'm thinking of delivering the baby *naturally* in Selayang Hospital, and honestly that's about as far as my planning has gotten.


*Naturally* may involve some heavy narcotics... at this point i'm not sure how bad the pain will be, so let's not be all heroic and rule out drugs just yet.

Lost and Found..

So we went to the baby doctor this morning, everything looks fine and dandy.... we saw his face clearly for the first time, and i'm pretty sure he'll look a lot like Muuzi... but we have to wait to see if i'm right.

Anyway, after our appointment we had lunch with the boys at Berjaya then Muuzi sent me home before he went back to work..

At home, i finished up some freelance work and spent the rest of the day cleaning up the bookshelves... then i found this cd with all our prewedding pictures on it. Ahhh... memories. :)
I absolutely love our prewedding pictures... mostly because we were relaxed and they were shot in KLPAC (which i love!). Our actual day wedding pictures were a bit more rushed and to think of it i don't even have a picture of myself and muuzi posing by the titiwangsa lake (where we got married) in our pink ensemble.. Boo! :(

I knew this would happen.

As soon as i started pressuring myself to blog, i don't blog at all. My brain freezes and i can't seem to type...

So i'm gonna do myself a big favor and SCRAP the 30-Day blog challenge to a later date (maybe starting the first of December, or January, or May.. we'll see :P).

Besides, it's not like i don't have things happening in my life to keep this blog updated as it is... in fact i have PLENTY to blog about...

Like seeing Zee Avi LIVE with my sister and the boys, last thursday....
and me buying receiving my first car....
not to mention, our dear friend Syed Zikree's wedding last sunday....

and of course no post would be complete without something pregnancy related, like packing my first ever hospital bag, and a entire post where i bitch about leg cramps!!

But right now, lets just be glad with everything that we have..... and wait patiently for the next post. Toodles! :D

Izal and Leng get hitched!!

When me and Muuzi started going out bout 3 years ago he introduced me to the most interesting couple i've ever met..

OBS ex-bassist, Izal and his chinese gf Leng @ Barbara Lam..

Izal was crazy and spontaneous and Leng was very put together.. They were true opposites in my book. But i suppose thats what made them an awesome couple in the first place..

Yesterday, on the 7th of october.. At izal's folks house in kota kemuning, they finally got hitched!

Happy 1st Wedding Anniversary!!!

Had a wonderful day yesterday...

It was me and Muuzi's 1st wedding anniversary.. usually we don't really bother with the whole anniversary thing, but we figured next year we'll be up to our knees in baby poo to do anything with just the two of us.

Thanks to the #Bersih rally in KL, the drive the Midvalley was smooth sailing.. best part was the parking lot was practically empty and we had our choice of parking (which we all know is rare in midvalley).

We bought tix to watch Super 8 and X-Men first class.... Since Muuzi's been really busy with work and the band, he hasn't had much time to watch movies at the cinema so we made it a back to back.

After buying tix we went to get some lunch at Itallianese.. we realised that one of our first dates was here in the midvalley Itallianese, and the best part was that the same waiter that served us back then was still there..

Probably the best thing about our anniversary was that both our phones died, so we had no disturbance from anyone.. It's something im going to implement in the future celebrations. No Phones. :)

Hello world!

Im back at work today after a week of CNY holidays... I don't even know why we came back today. No one really feels like working today (clients also never called today.. im assuming they also holidaying still). Since the lack of work was so bad the team spent the day playing poker and had a mini CNY pizza party.

My week long holiday was pretty uneventful... spent most of it at home alone playing plants vs zombies on the mac, while Muuzi went to meetings/jamming/meetings and my ONE best friend spent time with her boyfriend. I'm sad and pathetic, i know.

Then on Thursday, me and Alia went to melawati to help with some last minute preparations for the wedding.

OMG, i realize actually never announce it here.. my not-so-baby sister Alia and my fellow VR nerd Ezani got married last friday after a 4 year+ romance. Congrats guys!

The wedding was tiring, i was maid of honor... it's was fun tho. Since most of Ezani's friends are also my friends, it became sort of a reunion thing. :)

A Video... of our wedding

I know haven't blogged much AT ALL about my wedding, frankly there's just too much to say about it.

But as they say a picture is worth a thousand words, and a video is worth a thousand pictures.

This is the video for our menyambut menantu where we were joined with Mooky's brother Taq and his new wife Dona (they got married in Indonesia about a week after our wedding) held in Dewan Taman Tun, powered by the power of family and friends. :)

The entire hall deco was done by the-uber-creative gungho wedding planner Sarah from Chenta Weddings, the video footage was taken by some of nusrat and ryan's friends at Three Libra. I'm so glad Nusrat talked us into doing this. It's super priceless!!

Now kinda menyesal not getting a videographer for the titiwangsa wedding as well, that would have been so EPIC. sigh.

Weddings Weddings Weddings.

Firstly, another excuse for not blogging lately.

I've been super busy.

I started my new job, at a new advertising agency. Where being the only female designer has it's perks Example: most of our clients are beauty products so we get free samples and such (more on that soon)

Anyway, the new jobs been great, but can no longer sneak around on facebook and blog during office hours. Boo!

You win some you loose some.

After a long first week at the new job, i was finally ready for some serious weekend chilling.

Unfortunately the usual stigma chores, laundry, gigs and wedding invitations had already pre booked my weekend. Boo!

On saturday, me and muuzi had to wake up super early to go to his cousins wedding in kinrara. The wedding was nice, no complaints, the food was awesome.

One very important thing i've learnt about marriage is, it's crucial to get to know your husbands family members. I like to think i've been doing a stellar job of winning their affection. :P

The only thing that bothers me is that the kids keep calling me Mak Long (urrrgghhh!!). Apparently, it's my fault for marrying Pak Long. Damnit.

Another thing I've discovered during this wedding is that Muuzi @ Pak Long, is extremely Popular with kids. Being a big kid himself, i wasn't surprised. :P

After the wedding, we had to go to muuzi's soundcheck for Nike's 10k RUN held on sunday.

The set up was kinda cool, the bands were to perform on the back of a flatbed truck. It would have been considerably more awesome if the truck actually moved, but after a sudden idea that muuzi would fall off the truck and get run over, made me think twice. -_-

Anyway more on that later.

Puasa Day 2.

Ok, i know i've been bad by cheating on my faithful blog on my other sites, Pizzzamagazine.com and my new baby blog isoldmykidneyfortheseshoes.blogspot.com.

I can't help it, with so many fantastic things happening in my life currently i can't find time to blog about MYSELF anymore, i feel like i've become a boring person that no one wants to read about anyway.

I have been so bad at blogging, that i haven't event updated peeps about my wedding, or my Indonesian honeymoon, Taq's wedding, MTV worldstage/ GreenRoom: The Rapture, or my recent Taman Tun reception.

OMG, so many things to talk about, frankly i don't know where to start!

As for the wedding. I'm prolly not gonna get around to blogging about it EVER.
