I wasn't suppose to celebrate merdeka this year, cuz i was suppose to be in melawati tonight. But as luck would have it, mama was too tired to make the journey there, and i was destined to spend merdeka at home watching more episodes Dead like Me, season 2. Not that i mind.. im not really into the idea that we have to go out to show our patriotism... (which is a bunch of bullcrap if u ask me.)

Getting drunk on merdeka eve isn't PATRIOTIC...

neither is it patriotic to go to rave parties, clubs, and such... but whatever floats your boat right?

Neway, i was just settling in to watch my series when Mooky msged with an invitation to some BBQ in PJ..

Hmmmm....

Free food & company & fireworks vs. Watching series alone at home......

In 20 mins i was on my way to PJ, wit mooky, azam and his new gf sarah, and her friend noni..

The food looked awesome, but i had already eaten dinner with mama b4 i had gotten the msg. So lepak2 je dulu, watched grown men play mario brothers on wii. Saw some fireworks but most were covered by trees.. After awhile we headed off to Bukit bintang to send noni off to her cousins and then headed to hartamas for more food.

BB was PACKED!!! Suprisingly the most patriotic people around are the arabs (currently who have taken over the BB area) who were singing negaraku in a chorus while walking down the streets.

Neway i had a fun time, and the company was great as always... thx to mooky and azam, and my new friends sarah and noni. :)
