No, i'm not dead..

Still alive, Fortunately..

was busy with classes yesterday.. Then after class went to use my GSC free ticket b4 it expires. Watched MUHSIN.

Cuddles totally cried *He won't admit it tho :P*

And since i didn't watch SEPET or GUBRA... i didn't know the characters at all and was puzzled 'Why lah they keep showing us that small fat chinese boy?'

PS: Muhsin is totally hot... for a malay kampung boy. Terasa agak pedophile gak. ngahaha!

then got home and 'fortunately' (?) nana has SEPET. So watched it..... Cuddles tried to pretend that he wasn't crying... by trying to make me cry. *which i didnt. hmph*

Damn scary watching Harith Iskandar half naked.. Serious. Nightmare Yo. :P

Was damn busy the whole day of today... re-Did my VR poster in record time... 40 minutes! And then had them printed at miso, with a record of 64bucks burning a whole in my wallet. DIE.

Then went to LCC class.
Still a bit sick.

thankfully, Cuddles has been here for the last few days to adapt to my every whim and fancy.
And i have been bullying him into fecthing me stuff and cooking me breakfast lunch and dinner. huhu.

Right now he's attemping to cook up some bihun goreng. No, he has never cooked it before... hence i am google-ing the recipe online for him..

So sedih google how to make bihun goreng. Tok would be ashamed of me. hehe. (Maybe should ask her to teach me one day.. hehe)

I thought i'd share the resipe with the rest of you orang bujang out there, :P :P

Northern-Style Fried Rice Vermicelli
(Bihun Goreng Utara)

Recipe by Liza Zainol (thank you, whoever you are!)

Ingredients
3 tablespoons cooking oil
4 shallots, chopped finely
4 cloves garlic, chopped finely
Chilli paste (mix together)

2 tablespoons chilli powder
125ml water
1 tablespoon dried shrimps, washed and drained
2 tablespoons preserved soybean paste (tauchu)
200g unpeeled prawns, washed (On Budget...got no prawns. Burger cincang oso can?)
200g rice vermicelli (bihun), soaked until soft
4 stalks flowering cabbage (choy sum/sawi), cut into 3cm lengths
(Optional! People like me Dont need sayur :D)

Seasoning
1 tablespoon light soy sauce
1 tablespoon squid/fish sauce
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon pepper
150g Chinese chives, cut into 3cm lengths
150g beansprouts
2 pieces hard beancurd (tau kwa), deep fried and cut into cubes

Garnish
3 red chillies, sliced
3 tablespoons shallot crisps
3 stalks spring onion, cut into 3cm lengths
2 eggs, fried into an omelette with a pinch of salt and sliced thinly
3 limes, cut into wedges

Method
Heat the oil in a wok over a medium flame to sauté the shallots and garlic until fragrant.
Add the chilli paste and fry until aromatic – about 3 minutes.
Add the dried shrimps and fry for a minute before adding the bean paste and fresh prawns.
Stir-fry until aromatic.
Add the rice vermicelli, flowering cabbage and seasoning ingredients.
Stir-fry to mix thoroughly, about 5 minutes.
Add the chives, bean sprouts and fried beancurd and stir-fry to mix well.
Turn off the flame and dish out unto a serving platter.
Garnish before serving. (cough cough.... Garwhuh?)

Note: This popular breakfast fare and anytime snack is fried in a dry style, with the chilli powder and chives lending their aromas.

Maybe i'll post up a picture when it's done.. huahuahuhauha..

Chinese chives
From Wikipedia,

Garlic chives are also known as Chinese chives, Chinese leek, Ku chai, Oriental garlic chives or, in Japanese, Nira. The plant has a distinctive growth habit with strap-shaped leaves unlike either onion or garlic, and straight thin white-flowering stalks that are much taller than the leaves. It grows in slowly expanding perennial clumps, but also readily sprouts from seed. Besides its use as vegetable, it also has attractive flowers.

*what ever that is.. haha.
